Tips on how to bet on the Oscars

The process of betting on the Oscars is similar to any other kind of betting, but in the case of the former, what’s different is that the results are based on predetermined information, unlike sports. A computer program was taught to predict the Oscar winners. You can see if the computer's picks match the bookmakers' odds in Oscars. You can bet on the Oscars in retail casinos in Atlantic City but also online if you are physically located in the Garden State. The operators Sugarhouse, Fanduel, are only taking bets in the Best Picture Category, but others also include Best Director, Best Actor and three other categories.

Since the nominees have been announced last month, there has been a lot of talk and speculation on which picture will win the Academy Award 2019. Before you place a bet, have a look at all the Oscar contenders and their odds. You can also check out the previous nominees and winners and if there have been any trends over the years.

You can supplement your research by looking at the Golden Globes or SAG winners. That can give you some insight into what the juries are favoring this year. However, even with the best odds and all the right information, there is no guarantee that any of the Oscar predictions will be true. Surprises do happen, like when Rocky won Best Picture in 1977 against all expectations.

While these tips won’t ensure you a win, they can guide you in how to make your decision when betting on this year’s Best Picture winner. To place a bet, simply follow the links above.
