BetAmerica is a fully licensed and regulated betting service based in the great United States of America, offering its users the opportunity to bet on domestic US horse racing, along with races from overseas.
The site also offers interesting odds on greyhound races and the opportunity to bet on sports or play casino games (if you're in NJ).
In this BetAmerica review, we’ll let you know our honest opinion of the services offered by this horse betting operator and whether or not BetAmerica should be at the top of your list.

Welcome Offer – 4/5
$100 Sign Up Bonus
Other than the Refer A Friend program which is offered by most, if not all operators a sign up bonus is definitely something an operator should have. Of course, BetAmerica does, and the $100 Sign Up Bonus is their only bonus offer, but great terms and conditions make up for the fact that its the only bonus offer. To qualify for the bonus, you need to be a new customer.
After signing up, your first – and only your first – deposit will unlock the bonus. Your offer will be matched up to $100 maximum, so if you on a whim decide to bet $400, you will not be granted a $400 matchup. The minimum deposit with the site is $25, so at the very least you’ll be getting $25 in bonus, and as the offer states, the maximum you can claim from this bonus is $300 from your first deposit.
You can find your bonus in the Pending Bonus balance, to get the bonus money you need to place a bet on any of BetAmericas races or daily fantasy sports (DFS) competitions. Every time you place a wager, 10% of that wager is unlocked from the Pending Bonus and granted to you. So if you stake $20 on a bet, you will get $2 from the Pending Bonus.
You can use the earnings from the Pending Bonus on any of the horse racing, greyhound racing, or fantasy sports with the bookmaker as the unlocked amount goes straight into your Cash Balance. You have 30 days to earn as much of the bonus as you can as after this time period the remaining quantity in your Pending Bonus balance is forfeited.
It’s a potentially huge bonus if you’re willing to play $1000 to unlock the maximum $100 in bonuses. Luckily the bonus is sent to your cash balance and is unlocked in increments dictated by your play, so it’s more of a loyalty bonus than a signup bonus, really.
Betting Markets – 5/5
The horse racing operator offers educational content on all of the important thoroughbred races, and with that comes the ability to place all kinds of wagers, from win, to place, to super high fives. Along with thoroughbred racing, they also offer markets for harness and quarter horse, over more than 300, mainly from the USA, but also from foreign tracks in countries like Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Every day they host online handicapping contests as well as like Live Picks – in which you may edit your selections up to one minute to post, the operator is trying to save you from yourself, making any choices one minute to post could only end in disaster. On top of this, the site offers different promotions each week. For example, coming to the end of October 2016, they offered “Hagyard Fayette Stakes Exsurance” on October 29, which gives money back on exactas if the race has been won by less than one length.
Furthermore, on October 30 you have the possibility of playing the “Superfecta Sunday”, which adds ten percent to all winning harness and greyhound superfectas. There are multiple promotions like these every week across the racing sections and sometimes account bonuses, such as with free cash deposits. This is why they don't have stagnant bonus offers, which can be a plus because you can log into your account at any time and find an offer of some sort.
The site claims to offer more betting on greyhound racing than any other website, and you’d be hard pressed to find a contender with them offering on over 1000 live greyhound races every week, you'd have to go through groundhog day many times to get through all of the 1000 races.
Daily Fantasy Sports
In our opinion our BetAmerica review of the daily fantasy sports market we certainly think that they can pride themselves on their Easy-To-Play Daily Pick ‘Em Fantasy Sports Contests. Their DFS offers are almost as good as official DFS providers, which is surprising considering that this is not their expertise. If you're interested in creating your own lineup without any knowledge, BetAmerica states that their “friendly Pick ‘Em daily fantasy sports contests mean you don’t have to worry about scrubs, just stars!” which simplifies the process significantly.
The current daily fantasy sports available are American Football, Baseball, and Basketball, with more on the way. The site provides live scoring updates to show you just how well your players are performing. For this BetAmerica review, what makes the grade reach its peak is the fact that the site offers free and reliable information on races, providing users the most help possible before they place a bet.
Because they employ pari-mutuel wagering, their users aren’t playing against the site. This means that they can help you out and want you to succeed when they provide you with information and tips. They receive their commission at the end of the day regardless if you win or lose. What’s also great is that they offer what popular fantasy sports site do, and boil it down, simplifying the process so you can focus on the fun parts.
Odds – 5/5
For Laurel Park (Ireland), Race #1 on October 30, the favored horse – One Call Away – was given odds of 7/2 having had morning line (ML) odds of 4/1. So, if you were to place $10 on One Call Away to win, you would receive $45 if One Call away came in first place.
They have a promotions calendar on their site, and on October 30, the promotion was “Superfecta Sunday” in which all winning Harness and Greyhound superfectas would receive an added 10 percent in winnings. Most of the promotions add to certain types of bets that win, rather than enhance odds for specific outcomes. This is the type of promo you can expect from the operator at any given time, or at least on Sundays.
In this BetAmerica review we found that the bets taking place at the race offer good odds on their horse racing and greyhounds. They do however update them quite regularly, so it’s harder to steal some really mismatched odds before they sink to their real values as the race gets closer.
For example, the odds on One Call Away were listed above as 7/2, but they changed to 8/5 to 9/5 to 2/1 over a ten minute window. Due to the odds provided being dictated by the bets placed by those at the race, the odds fluctuate prior to the race, but are in tune with the odds that those at the track are receiving.
Mobile app – 5/5
The BetAmerica Horse Betting, Live Racing video app basically features the website but on a much more mobile-friendly platform. It features a user-friendly layout that does not only make betting a walk in the park but is also cosmetically pleasing. The ability to glide through the various sports and games makes the app very enjoyable to use.
You can bet in the same process as on the regular website – on horses, greyhounds and fantasy sports – and can also watch the live streaming of races and live scoring for your fantasy players come in.
The app is available for both iOS and Android users. The operator also offers one more app called BetAmerica Extra, offering additional information specifically pertaining to the Kentucky Derby. It features reports on top contenders, history, trivia and how to pick the winners.
If your sole purpose is to bet, use the Horse Betting, Live Racing video app, but if you want more information and have enough space in your phone you should definitely also download the Extra app. This BetAmerica review gave a top rating for the mobile app because in our opinion, BetAmerica gives you a simple app to bet, and that extra BetAmerica Extra app.

You can make a deposit into your account via:
- eCash, which is available from any US checking or savings account.
- Visa and Mastercard are accepted in the form of debit, pre-paid and credit cards.
- Pay Near Me is also available, which can be deposited from at any 7-Eleven or Family Dollar store, at a charge of $3.99 per transaction.

- Pay Lucky is another eWallet service which instantly transfers credit card deposits but is only available to residents of California, Oregon, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Ohio and Wyoming.
- Vanilla Gift can be used up to the amount of $500.
- Reloadable Mastercards are also an option for depositing funds.
- You can also make a deposit via check or wire transfer.
When it comes to withdrawing money, there are three available methods. The first is via eCash, the electronic bank transfers method in which no charges are applied, and is available for your US checking or savings account. Second is the eWallet service Neteller, with the service also being charge free when withdrawing.
The third and final method is by check – through the mail – which enforces a minimum withdrawal of $5 and is available worldwide – but if the delivery needs to be expedited then charges may apply.
If you do not possess a U.S. bank account and wish to withdraw funds then the operator will send the desired amount by check to the account holder’s residence address on file. For a fee of $30, upon request, delivery of checks to continental U.S. addresses will be expedited and sent within one business day (provided request is made Monday to Friday, prior to mail cutoff) for next business day delivery using a national overnight delivery service.
The last thing that you need to know about deposits is that the minimum deposit is $25, with no minimum withdrawal enforced.
Customer Service – 5/5
If you’re having a problem, feel free to contact them via any of the below services:
Live Chat (Instant Online Help): Available throughout the website is the option to engage in live chat with a skilled member of staff, who you will be able to explain your problem to and have them help you there and then. The service is available from 9AM to midnight (Eastern Time) every day of the week.
Email (Secure Email): The site promises a “rapid response” to any email inquiries. For help in this manner, email [email protected]
Telephone (Freephone from the United States of America): The freephone service is available 364 days a year and connects you to a call center that is based in the United States. The phone number is 186 660 779 29.
In our opinion, and in this BetAmerica review of these contact methods, the live chat is the best option if you've run into a problem. They’re quick to respond, very polite, very helpful and, although they’re not always lightning fast in moving through helping you with your problem, they do get it sorted.
When it comes to the emails you get a rapid response, but that rapid response is to the tune of an auto-response to confirm that they have received your query. It says that they usually respond within the hour and that is more commonly the case. But depending on the time of day, you may be waiting until the next day for a response – which is to be expected.
The freephone service, though based in the U.S. is the lesser of the three methods. Keep in mind that you'll have to wait on a customer relations employee to take your call, which might take some time depending on which races are on, and what time of the day it is. You might be better off using one of the other methods such as the live chat. Lastly, the website and help provided is only available in English, no other languages are incorporated.
Streaming/Live Options – 4/5
They offer live video streaming from over 325 racetracks across the United States of America and from around the world, with over 3500 live races to watch and wager on every week. Each verified customer is allowed ten hours of free live video every month, with additional hours added depending on how much you've bet. Needless to say, the more you stake the more hours you get for free.
The best part of the live streaming is that it's on the same page as the betting options and your bet slip. So you watch the horses/greyhound walk around the ground whilst making your selections and place your bets. You then watch the race all in the same window, no pop-ups or new windows required, which definitely boosts our rating in this review as it’s so convenient. The feed for the transmission is a few seconds behind, but that is to be expected with any live streaming.
Overall Review – 5/5
In our opinion, this BetAmerica review shows you that they offer everything that you could possibly want when betting on horse racing and greyhound racing, along with the very friendly daily fantasy sports. They offer great odds, lots and lots of helpful tips and advice and have one of the best betting apps around.
A downside is that you have to earn the welcome offer after completing the sign up and deposit. This is, however, a normal condition for online betting, and the operator provides plenty of time to earn the bonus in increments dictated by your play. It wouldn’t have as much selling power, but the welcome offer is more accurately titled loyalty bonus.
Along with the plethora of races that they host selections on, they also have great customer service, especially through the live chat. So if you fancy placing bets on horse racing, greyhound racing or just want to play some more friendly and fun daily fantasy sports then go to website, sign up through their home page, follow the instructions, fill in the boxes with your details, and then make your first deposit. Keep in mind that your first deposit dictates the amount of the “up to $300 sign up matched deposit bonus” that you get. Hopefully, this BetAmerica review has helped.
